Memorial Hospital is offering a free event for Breast cancer survivors. The workshop will be help on Saturday, Nov 4th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Topics covered include: Moving Toward Health (Expressive Dance and Dru Yoga) and You are what you eat (Simple steps to healthy eating and What you need to know about Vitamins, Herbs and Supplements.) October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The purpose of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to educate women about early breast cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment. Mammography screenings are one of the best tools for early breast detection. Other tools that should be utilized include: monthly self-breast exams and yearly clinical breast exams.
