I would like to vote that you again offer a variety of selections for the APPR. I work in an adult literacy program and used the first two books of last year’s choices to provide background and more detailed information to help my students understand a piece of history more fully. It tied in especially well with our social studies on the Great Depression. However, if the cost of materials limits you to one or two, I would most likely use Rocket Boys for my students and if an additional tilte is possible, Community: The Structure of Belonging for my own reading. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have input, and for this wonderful community building effort by having an All Pikes Peak Reads in coordination with so mnay community events.
