As it says on the site,

“Last.fm is a music service that learns what you love…
Every track you play will tell your Last.fm profile something about what you like. It can connect you to other people who like what you like – and recommend songs from their music collections and yours too.”

Check out entire songs (not just samples), watch artist slide shows & videos, and discover an unlimited source of new tunes!

The goal of this site pretty much says it all:

“Wolfram|Alpha’s long-term goal is to make all systematic knowledge immediately computable and accessible to everyone. We aim to collect and curate all objective data; implement every known model, method, and algorithm; and make it possible to compute whatever can be computed about anything.”

Seriously, once you start digging around this site, you’ll not only find an insane amount of information on virtually every subject, but numerous ways to manipulate it as well. Some excellent homework help here!

Born too late? Want to hear what you missed? You’ll find a treasure trove of live performances at Wolfgang’s Vault! There are literally hundreds of digitally remastered, commercial-free, live concerts – all streaming for free! From AC/DC to ZZ Top, if you love classic rock, you’ll find shows here that you can’t find anywhere else!

Now you can be Gene Frenkle with your very own, custom made, do-it-yourself cowbell website (complete with Christopher Walken!)

You want more cowbell? You got it!

Check out this site for interviews with Stephenie Meyer, James Patterson and more!

Looking for true weirdness on a large scale? Check out the official News Of The Weird site. It’s updated regularly and (somewhat) archived, so there’s plenty of bizarre news to keep you occupied.

If you’re getting a little burned out with your current favorite bands, give TuneGlue a shot! Just enter the name of a band or artist, and it will come up with suggetions for related artists. You can keep clicking on the suggested artists, and expand your search until you find one you want to check out. Click on Releases, and you’ll get an album-by-album menu of the available titles by that particular artist. Plus, as you move through the menu, you get a list of songs for each album title.

For a different kind of pop culture spin, check out Bedazzled. It’s sort of retro, sort of current, sort of all-over-the-place, but there are links to all kinds of features on music, movies, and a whole lot more.
