Learn how to research starting or growing a business or how to find a job. This class covers print sources, electronic databases and websites that will help you find information on industry, competition, vendors, financials, marketing, demographics and more.

In this class you will become familiar with basic word processing skills necessary to create and save word documents by learning to read the Microsoft Word screen and entering and manipulating basic text.
Prerequisites: Completion of (55+) Computer Basics and experience using a mouse and keyboard

Digital Camera Basics

Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade at Penrose Adult Room
Description: In this class you will learn the basic skills you need to start using your digital camera. General functions, symbols, and parts of a digital camera will be covered. You'll also learn how to transfer your pictures from your camera to your computer, how to send pictures via email, and other options for sharing your pictures. Patrons will need to bring their own camera, the USB cable for connecting the camera to a computer and, if possible, the owner's manual.

CyberShelf

Learn to navigate the PPLD CyberShelf page, download free software, place eholds, search for ebooks or eaudio books to checkout. This class will include a download demonstration for an ebook and eaudio book as well as instruction on how to transfer to device.
This is a demonstration only. Downloading from the cybershelf must be done outside the library.
