Become familiar with advanced features of Microsoft Word such as: setting margins, inserting tables, columns, borders, footnotes, etc. Prerequisites: Introduction to Microsoft Word and Internet Basics, or have familiarity with the internet.

Tai Chi

Learn the fundamentals of Tai Chi in this free, hour long class. Students will learn the basics of posture, strength, relaxation, movement and breathing. Wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

WestlawNext Class

When: Friday, February 19, 2016 - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Come learn how to use the library's primary legal research database, WestlawNext.Participants should have a predicate understanding of legal terminology; rudimentary legal research methodology; and, the uses of different legal research sources and citations—e.g. case law reporters (848 P.2d 916), statutes and codes (CRS 24-10-109), regulations (26 CFR 1.83), treatises/encyclopedias/secondary sources.

1 on 1 Device/Computer Help

When: Friday, February 19, 2016 - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade

For patrons with specific trouble shooting needs or help beyond the materials covered in other library computer classes. If the user just needs beginner instruction, sign them up for computer basics, internet basics, word, etc. Remind the patron to bring their device to the appointment if possible.

Google Drive and Apps Class

When: Monday, February 22, 2016 - 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade at Penrose Computer Lab

Learn how to get the maximum benefit from your Gmail account. This class will cover Drive features like Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and the Calendar App.
Prerequisites: Word I, Excel I. Attendees should already have a Gmail account established, and must know their username and password.

Learn to use the different functions of a Web browser, how to navigate the Internet, and how to use different search techniques to find information. Registration is required. Please call 389-8968 to register.

55+ Beginning Computer Class Series

When: Wednesday, February 24, 2016 - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade at Penrose Computer Lab

Meeting for 2 class sessions, students will learn to hold, move, and click a computer mouse. They will become familiar with the different cursor icons, the parts of a computer, practice simple navigation in a windows environment, and learn how to enter information using the keyboard. This is a class for people who have never used a computer. Patron will be signing up for both classes.
