Photography For Creatives "Portrait Review"

This month join Studio 21c for a talk with guest speaker: Peter Zurla. We will look at and analyze different portrait photos taken last month in the portrait workshop.
Photography for Creatives is a multi part course exploring the fun and creative aspects of digital photography whether using a DSLR or your smart phone camera.
This is an interactive class where the students will share and discuss their work. Guest Photographers will explore their techniques through lively discussions with the class. You’ll learn ways to make your work stand out by thinking outside the box. So whether you are interested in shooting landscapes or portraits, we will share tips and tricks for out in the field, in the studio, and editing the final shot.
The photographers attending the class will have the opportunity to display their work at a PPLD gallery location.

This Orientation course guides patrons through studio policies and procedures while serving as the first step toward using the facility for independent projects. After taking this course, patrons are also eligible to register for a variety of classes to learn audio and video skills.
 
This course is required training to use the C3 Center for Public Media. Attendees under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Please register EACH family member who will be attending. PLEASE ENTER YOUR LIBRARY CARD NUMBER IN THE "NOTES" FIELD BELOW. Limit 25 per class.

For those new to video editing, this introductory editing class will get you up and running with Adobe Premiere CC. We will cover a range of topics from navigating the interface, importing assets, working with sequences and timelines, applying titles and effects, and exporting your finished edit.

Introduction to Audio Mixing Class

When: Tuesday, April 18, 2017 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Library21c Special Rooms-1175 Chapel Hills Drive at The Studio

The Intro to Mixing class is an in-depth review of basic mixing techniques including EQ, Compression, Gates, FX, and setting Pans/Levels. The class will show the progression of mixing from Start (importing tracks) to Finish (finalizing the mix for Mastering). Each attendee will receive a link to download the session to practice their own mixing as well as a copy of the final mix from class.

Fundamentals of Photography for Beginners

The Fundamentals of Photography course will educate beginners on the essential DSLR tools and techniques needed to achieve professional quality images. This course will cover:

+Choosing the right lens for your picture

+Creative modes and manual mode
+Photographing in RAX and JPEG
+Basic photo composition

Hello I am interested in getting to learn graphic design and videos editing.. I have a small business and am interested in doing videos for my website and social media Stires ... are there any classes accompanied to this ?

Good day and thank you for your question. In regards to video editing, we do have an excellent beginners program on Adobe Premiere. The next session will be on March 13th either from 9-noon or 6-9 p.m. To sign-up for this course simply go to PPLD.org/studio and click on the classes link. From there you can go to the desired course and time and click on that link. This will open up a registration form that you fill out. Once you submit you are in. As for graphic design, we do not have a specific class offering this however the library does have Lynda.com accounts available to those who live in the PPLD district and who have a valid library card.
