C3 Center for Public Media Camera & Lighting Class

When: Thursday, July 02, 2015 - 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Library21c Special Rooms-1175 Chapel Hills Drive at C3 Center for Public Media

Basic introduction to studio camera & lighting. Completion of course will allow you access to studio equipment and camera check-out. Must have already taken the 101 orientation and safety course. Course lasts approximately 3 hrs. Patrons 9-13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Introduction to 3D Modeling using 123D Design

When: Friday, July 03, 2015 - 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Where: Library21c -1175 Chapel Hills Drive at Petritz Learning Lab

An introduction to Autodesk's free 3D Modeling software. Great for those who want to get started in designing their own models for 3D Printing. This class is for advanced computer users who are very comfortable with computer navigation and have experience using a variety of software including Microsoft Office products, but no previous 3D Modeling experience is needed. This class is best suited for students 13 and over. Students 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Windows 7 Basics Class

When: Monday, July 06, 2015 - 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Become familiar with the parts of Microsoft Windows 7 by learning terminology, ways to open windows, how to toggle between windows, and how to save and open files.

Topics can include: Mouse Basics; Computer/Windows Basics; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); Internet Basics and Email; Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Prezi, and Craigslist; Ereaders; and transferring digital photographs to a computer. Microsoft Word Basics
