Has your library card number changed?

Please contact Overdrive to ask them move existing holds/checkouts from your prior account number to your new account number. You will need to create an Overdrive account with the new number before making the request. You will also need to provide the old and new library card numbers in the form.

Using a Chromebook?

The OverDrive Media Console and mobile apps are not compatible with the Google Chrome (Chromebook) operating system as it is a Linux based operating system.







Apple iOS 7 - September 19, 2013

When an existing OverDrive Media Console (OMC) user upgrades to iOS 7, the app will fail when trying to open a DRM-protected eBook. New or first time users of OMC are unaffected by this issue.

Overdrive is resolving the issue but in the meantime, here are immediate remedies for users:

  1. Re-authenticate the app with their existing or a new Adobe ID. Refer to the iOS section of this Help article for assistance. (Recommended)
  2. Uninstall and re-install OMC which will also require the user to re-authorize with Adobe. IMPORTANT NOTE: A re-install will clear a user's bookshelf, history, and app settings.

Audiobook users won't notice that anything is different unless they attempt to download parts of audiobooks they already downloaded to OMC before upgrading to iOS 7. A user will receive an error message informing them to download the title again.

I am an art teacher in France and I do a lot of research online with my students. As all the information withheld isn't in French, I tend to push them to look elsewhere. In that perspective, I wanted to know I could access your online data to look for information and if my students who speak good English could use your data in an educational purpose only.
We are working on contemporary art at the moment and especially on and the vision of digital art. If there is any way we can collaborate, i would appreciate it.

new card

I recently got a new library card, and now when I log on to overdrive none of my checked out books or holds show up. It's as if I am a new person. Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone now how to fix it?

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with OverDrive. Did you have your previous library card number saved? Have you cleared out your Internet cache since you received your new card? I am thinking that perhaps the system is trying to log in to your old account, and clearing out your Internet cache may help. Please feel free to email me at:, and we can take a look at it.


privelege has expired

Hi I am trying to borrow an ebook, but every time I log in it says my privelege has expired. How do I fix this?

Need to update your card

Library cards now expire every three years - just stop in at your local library with your card and picture ID and they'll be happy to update your card for you.

Videos and Music


I was so excited to start using the CyberShelf movie videos and music...until I found out my MacBook isn't compatible. Could you please explain why and will this change in the near future?

Security Credentials

Whenever I try to go on to the ppld website on my kindle or ipad, I now always get the securtiy warning stating that the site's security credentials do not originate from a trusted authority. It doesn't happen when I look up the website from my laptop.

Hi, I checked out an ebook but I cannot download it to my iPhone for some reason, it says I need to get on a computer and download it but I don't have a computer nor know anyone to borrow one from.

Anyway I can return it and try to re-check it out in a different format? (It gave me an option of choosing a bunch of different formats I just chose the overdrive version) or do I just have to wait until it expires?

On this form, you can tell OverDrive what your issue is, and they will be able to assist you and also get the correct format for you.

How do I get to my eAccount? My regular "My Account" only shows physical book, etc. status? I want to find out about several eHolds that I have, but I can't seem to find a link that would show me my eAccount. Can you help?

Hi there. The easiest way to access your eAccount is to click on the eBooks graphic on, click on the OverDrive link, then click on the eAccount link in the upper toolbar.

The computer says I borrowed it and then it takes me to Amazon. When I tell Amazon to borrow it, my computer takes me to some random page and nothing shows up on my Kindle. I have no trouble buying books from Amazon.
