Banned Books Week: September 25 - October 1

Banned Books Week celebrates the freedom to read whatever we choose. It also serves as a reminder of how often that right has been infringed upon, both in the past and the present. By shining a light on efforts across the country to remove or restrict access to books, Banned Books Week draws national attention to the harms of censorship, highlighting the value of free and open access to information.

Here are some reading lists. Our hope is that you find a book or books on these lists you'd like to read.

Visit the American Library Association for more information about Banned Books Week.
