Nonprofit Workshop - Be for Impact

This foundational session will help organizations learn how to articulate their impact, add tools around mindset, and just ask for help. Tai Chi Basics

This program gives an introduction to the delights of rhyme, rhythm, and a few special stories as a first step to reading for 1 and 2-year-old children and caregivers.

Storytime

Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Childrens Story Room

Children ages 3 and up, with a favorite adult, experience stories through books, flannelboards, puppets, songs and activities. This program encourages emerging reading skills by engaging children with shapes, sounds, rhythm and rhyme in a playful environment.

Music and Movement

When: Wednesday, April 26, 2017 - 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Where: Library21c -1175 Chapel Hills Drive at Children's Room

Shake those wiggles out and have some fun! This 30-minute program consists of music and movement activities and a story. For two and three-year-old children, with a favorite adult. Due to high attendance, we issue a token to the first 20 FAMILIES, on a first come first serve basis.

ERC S.T.E.A.M.: Cool Chemical Reactions

Baby diapers and disappearing water, elephant-sized toothpaste, glow-in-the-dark slime and bouncy balls … they’re strangely connected! Join us for some cool chemistry in the ERC. This is a hands-on experience in chemical reactions, bringing to life the study of matter and how that matter can undergo amazing change. Be prepared to actively experiment and explore, having a blast as you discover the science behind two kinds of cool chemical reactions. This program is most appropriate for ages 7 to 14. Registration required (please register each child participating). Please choose Wednesday or Friday.

45 minute class with Philip Selva, Certified Tai Chi Instructor. For first-timers: You must take the Tai Chi Basics course. If you feel that you belong in a higher-level class, please arrange for a time to meet with the instructor to evaluate your Tai Chi form. Stay and Play Story Time

Come read, rhyme and rock! A very interactive storytime that engages children ages two to five and their favorite adults in stories and songs in which everyone participates. After storytime, we invite you to stay and play with us! We’ll have fun toys, games and activities to enhance your child’s early literacy learning!
