Library 21c Meeting/Study Room Policy

Venue

Requests for up to two reservations per month can be made for the Venue, and all requests for the Venue are subject to the Library's approval.

Room Capacity: 387

Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1 - 4:30 p.m.

Before/After Meeting Room Hours:
Meetings that take place before or after meeting room hours must be pre-approved. Once approved,a non-refundable $50 fee must be paid to hold the place. If the deposit is not paid in one week (or 5 business days) from the request date, the request form must be resubmitted for approval.

If the reservation has to be moved to another date, please resubmit the request form for the approval. The deposit will become forfeited one month after the first reservation date.

Setup:
Library staff will set up the room according to set up specified on the meeting room reservation form. Meeting Room Setups. The Venue also has a dedicated lobby space and green room, which can be configured in a number of ways to accommodate a variety of uses.

Room Usage Fee:

  • Normal meeting room hours: None
  • Before/after meeting room hour fee (Available at the Venue@21c and the Ent Conference Center):
    • The request has to be pre-approved.
    • There is a $50/hour after-hour room usage fee when applicable.
    • Once approved, a non-refundable $50 deposit must be paid to hold the place. If the deposit is not paid in one week (or 5 business days) from the request date, the request form must be resubmitted for approval.
    • If the reservation has to be moved to another date, please resubmit the request form for the approval. The deposit will become forfeited one month after the first reservation date.

Ent Conference Center

Ent Conference Center reservations can be made for once per week, up to six months in advance, and at least 3 business days before the meeting. You will need a valid library card and a PIN to reserve this room.

Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
Sunday: 1 - 4:45 p.m.

The Ent Conference Center is set in classroom style for 20. You may rearrange the tables and chairs for your meeting, but the room must be left in classroom style for the next meeting.

B2 and B6 reservations can be made for once per week, up to six months in advance, and at least 3 business days before the meeting. You will need a valid library card and a PIN to reserve this room.

Always in boardroom setting.

Reserve B2 and B6 Rooms.

Make

Make makerspace can be reserved for maker-related activities, such as arts/crafts and STEM-related activities. Reservations can be made for once per week for a 6 hour maximum, up to 2 months in advance. Attendees must be at least 9 years old, follow the makerspace guidelines and safety policies, and sign a waiver (contingent on activity).

Room Usage Fee:
Groups charging a fee for class attendance who are reserving less than 6 hours per month incur no room fees.
Groups charging a fee for class attendance who are reserving more than 6 hours a month will be required to provide a free class or program for library patrons.

  • A proposal for the free class must be submitted for approval prior to the room being booked
  • Groups will donate at least a 1-hour free program for each 6 hours of use
  • Any supplies related to the program will also need to be free for patron use
  • The library will assist with registration and advertising for the class

Petritz Learning Lab

The Petritz Learning Lab can be reserved for computer training activities. Reservations can be made once per week for a 3 hour maximum, up to 3 months in advance. Groups with less than 16 participants can contact staff about potentially reserving the space, but the back rows of the computer lab will need to be available for computer use to anyone in the library.

Room Usage Fee:
Groups charging a fee for class attendance will need to provide a free 45 minute class or program, or service of equal value, for library patrons.

Study Rooms

Study room reservations can be made for once per day for a 2 hour maximum, up to 24 hours in advance, or on site. A two hour maximum per group is allowed. You will need a valid library card and a PIN to reserve these rooms.

Hours: Same as library hours. Closes 15 minutes prior to library closing.

Setup: Boardroom setting only.

Food:
Only dry snacks and water are allowed.

I would like to reserve the venue room for my bi-annual Host Appreciation Event .
I need it from 1:00-5:00pm

I was unable to book meeting room for 9/17 at 9 am until 11 am and was told by library staff to go on line this am to reserve a stdy room but its 7 am and there are no study rooms.

Hi there. We don't know the exact height of the rooms but we estimate around 9ft for everything but the Venue, which is significantly higher. Please feel free to stop by the library and take a look at the room that interests you to see if it fits your needs.
