Children ages 3 and up, with a favorite adult, experience stories through books, flannelboards, puppets, songs and activities. This program encourages emerging reading skills by engaging children with shapes, sounds, rhythm and rhyme in a playful environment. (30 minutes)

Baby Time

When: Monday, June 24, 2013 - 10:30 AM
Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade at Penrose Childrens Room

Babies from birth to 12 months, with a favorite adult, enjoy songs, bouncing action rhymes, and sharing a book together. Each interactive session gives babies the opportunity to hear lots of language and play with other babies. Space is limited to 10 babies with accompanying adult.
(20 minutes + 20 minute playtime)

7-UP

The Sunday Matinee - Treasure Planet

Based on the beloved novel Treasure Island, Disney takes this same adventure up into space. In this fantastic animated adventure, unassuming young man Jim Hawkins accidentally happens upon a map to the legendary pirate trove. We are then swept up into Jim’s fantastic journey across the galaxy as a cabin boy on a space ship. Jim is taken under the wing of charismatic cook John Silver but even as he is guided by his shipmate Jim learns that his friend is a traitor with a plan of mutiny. Who will find the treasure first?
