Rockrimmon Mythbusters

Where: Rockrimmon Library - 832 Village Center Drive at Rockrimmon Meeting Room

Come help us make major mess and mayhem while we experiment with soda geysers and exploding lunch bags. Rockrimmon Library hosts this event as a part of the Childrens and Teen Summer Reading programs for ages 9 and up.

Building Robots for Teens

This is a writer’s workshop for students in middle school through college. A published fantasy author will lead exercises, discussions, and writing lessons

Wig Out Wednesdays - Green Screen

Come to the East Teen Center every Wednesday during the Summer for a different program. We will provide the supplies, including wigs to wear during the program!

July 23:Green Screen (Ages 12-18 only)

Think it’s cool when the TV weather personality has a changing map behind them? THAT’S NOTHING!!! Create your own drawings, dress in a wig and props, and make your own creation. We’ll make it available for you to share on social media or print out a copy for you to take home. Just remember—if you wear green, you will disappear…

Teens On Laptops!

Laptops are set aside for teen use only in the Community Room. Come on down and do homework, play games, play music, or just surf! Some days we will have wii or other special activities. Brought to you by OC3, our teen advisory council.

High Prairie Chess Club

Computer Classes for Kids - GameMaker 2

When: Wednesday, July 23, 2014 - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: Monument Library - 1706 Lake Woodmoor Drive at Monument Meeting Room

This lesson will be a continuation of the previous GameMaker lesson and attendance at GameMaker 1 is a prerequisite. Here, you'll learn some more advanced topics and finalize your game so it is playable! For ages 10-18.
Materials Required: Flash drive with your own pictures or media loaded (optional). Registration is required for those who would like to reserve a laptop computer for use in the class. Walk-ins are welcome if you're bringing your own computer and you have GameMaker downloaded to it. It would be helpful if you could email syates@ppld.org to notify us that you're coming with your own laptop. Classes start promptly at 4:00. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
