Stitch-Wits

For all needle workers/stitchers who would like to stitch in community! Knitters, Crocheters, Quilt Pieceworkers, any needle art workers! We help each other out, talk about a variety of topics and have a monthly show and tell and a monthly program. Come check us out.

Old Colorado City Book Group

When: Thursday, December 15, 2016 - 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Where: Old Colorado City Library - 2418 West Pikes Peak at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

Monthly meeting to discuss that month's book selection. Books are determined by group vote a year ahead of time and the choices are listed on PPLD.ORG under Find a Good Book, Book Clubs. Come every month, or just for the books you want to read. You are welcome to bring a snack or lunch as this group meets in the middle of the day.

Adult Library Program

Great Decisions Discussion Group

Join us for the third year of this discussion group. Great Decisions is the largest discussion program on America’s role in world affairs. The program, developed by the Foreign Policy Association, involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book and meeting in a Discussion Group to watch the DVD and discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. Each year eight topics are chosen by a panel of experts. In 2016 the diverse issues will include the rise of ISIS, the future of Kurdistan, climate change, and Cuba. More information about the topics and support materials are available at GreatDecisions.org.

January 13 will be a get acquainted meeting to learn more about the discussion program, its materials and topics.

The first topic of discussion will be on January 27.

Scrap Exchange and Artist

In collaboration with Who Gives a SCRAP, we are holding a free craft material exchange! Bring your unused and unwanted scrap craft supplies and exchange them for "tickets" to "purchase" new-to-you craft material! We will also have a fun craft going on, so you can take your time and check for new inventory. Or save your tickets for the next exchange at the Cheyenne Mountain Library on Saturday, April 8. No registration required for this free event!
