Passive Beekeeping with Charles Miller

Honey bee populations have drastically reduced in
recent years and actions must be taken to ensure an
abundant and nutritious food supply in the future.
This program will introduce people to practical and inexpensive ways they can make a difference by creating healthy habitats for bees in their own backyards through plants and bee condos (habitats).
Free bee habitats will be given away while supplies last.
We will enjoy honey snacks!

Embrace the Artist in You

Five simple activities to give you freedom to explore your creative side.

Artist, illustrator and author Shelley Hitz will help you embrace your inner artist with watercolors, colored pens, colored pencils, calligraphy and free-style art. No experience is necessary. You will take home 5 small completed pieces of art. The library will provide all the supplies. Registration is required at ppld.org under programs/events.
