Position Summary: Penrose Library is a large urban library located in the Colorado Springs’ thriving downtown core. Patrons gain access to a wide variety of resources and opportunities within its walls to help support them to thrive and connect them to community, in an environment that is informed by Pikes Peak Library District’s emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion. Penrose Library is rooted in the District’s mission of cultivating spaces for belonging, personal growth and strong communities. Penrose Library also serves as the hub of the District’s West Region and helps support the region’s four other locations and Mobile Library Services.
This position serves in a leadership role for the Penrose Library, and participates in the West Region Leadership Team, Management Team, and other Pikes Peak Library District teams and initiatives. Working under the leadership of the Director of the West Region, this position will also coordinate library services, programming and outreach for Penrose Library, with Public Service Directors and Library Managers. This position is also serves as lead to coordinate support service concerns for Penrose Library.
