I have lived in Colorado Springs for the last seventeen years. I was born in Chicago, later moved to France (father in the military), returned and moved to Kansas before spending most of my time in Texas (San Antonio area). I have held myriad positions in my life. I like to undertake more than one thing at a time, thus I refer to myself as a #workquilter combining various avenues of income. These include: -Author of nonfiction and fiction. -Certified permaculture designer and previously worked as a registered interior designer. -Suburban Homesteader (have gardens, chickens, bees). -Speaker/trainer on myriad topics. -Global house- and pet-sitter. -Nonprofit consultant, certified grants specialist (proposal writer, donor communications, fundraising strategy)

Adrienne has lived in Fountain since 2013 and is originally from South Africa. She adores nature and has been a photographer for more years than she cares to admit. Having discovered so much to photograph in her own backyard (she refers to everywhere as her "backyard"), a book of her work was the logical next step. Her book is for all ages, and she is particularly keen for children to read and enjoy this book as the message inside is to stop and look. I first moved to Colorado in 1983. I have worked and volunteered in a number of organizations, including for the state of Colorado and the city of Westminster. I helped establish several arts groups and volunteer with guilds in Colorado Springs and Denver.

Pat Musick grew up in the house her father built at the edge of the Garden of the Gods. Her earliest artistic influences were her painter father, Archie (a Broadmoor Art Academy artist with local murals in the City Auditorium, Fine Arts Center, and Manitou Post Office); her ceramist mother, Irene; and the wildlife, plants, and landscapes of the Southwest. An introduction to the book arts at Reed College led her to postgraduate work researching early Irish manuscript calligraphy in London, England, where she first encountered enameling (glass fused to metal at high heat).

She returned to Colorado Springs in the 1980s, taught art at The Colorado Springs School for four years, and has been an adjunct art instructor (PPCC, CSU-Pueblo, UCCS) and freelance artist (enameling and mixed media) since then. Her work has been exhibited at museums and galleries across the United States and six countries; she has carried out many public and private commissions (including three glass-on-metal murals for Colorado’s Art in Public Places program) and served as Artist-in-Residence at Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest National Parks. She has served on the TOPS Working Committee and the Art Commission of the Pikes Peak Region.

Travels that inspire her work range from wilderness backpacking to viewing masterpieces in situ in Europe and Asia.
