May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month! PPLD is offering programming throughout the District to celebrate.

Asian Tales: The Story of Ping
2 p.m. on Sat., May 11 at Ruth Holley Library
Join the Pikes Peak Library District and the Golden Lotus Foundation to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Come learn the Story of Ping and make a paper bag puppet to take home.

Hula Class
1 p.m. on Sat., May 18 at Fountain Library
Join Pacific Pride & Island Hearts and the Pikes Peak Library District as we celebrate Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month. Hula dancers from Pacific Pride & Island Hearts will perform a hula dance and then teach a few hula moves.

Haiku and Painting
2 p.m. on Sat., May 25 at Monument Library

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Join PPLD as we host the Golden Lotus Foundation for an afternoon of haiku and painting. In this class, learn how to write a haiku and then watch your creation come to life on a piece of canvas.
