Knitting

When: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Where: Monument Library - 1706 Lake Woodmoor Drive at Monument Meeting Room

An intergenerational knitting group that meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. Practice materials are provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own materials! Some instruction provided for those new to the world of knitting.

LEGO club at Ruth Holley

When: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: Ruth Holley Library - 685 North Murray Blvd. at Ruth Holley Meeting Room

Adults and Teens! Show off your creativity! Come build your own creations using thousands of LEGOs provided by the library. Please do not bring your own LEGOs and all masterpieces remain at the library. (However, donations are gladly accepted!)

AfterMath--Free Math Tutoring!!

When: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: Library21c -1175 Chapel Hills Drive at Ent Conference Center

Is math homework getting you down? Are finals freaking you out? Do you need to brush up before the ACT, SAT, or GED? Our experienced math tutors can help you improve your grades and take the stress out of math.

No appointments - Drop in! This runs from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
We will not have AfterMath in the case of school breaks, or weather closures (either District 20 or Library 21c).

Teens on Laptops

When: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: Old Colorado City Library - 2418 West Pikes Peak at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

Laptops are set aside for teen use only in the Community Room. Come on down and do homework, play games and music, or just surf! Occasionally we will have the Wii, crafts, or other special activities. Brought to you by OC3, our teen advisory council.

Teen Dungeons and Dragons Club

When: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: Library21c Study Rooms -1175 Chapel Hills Drive at T1

Join other teens who are passionate about Dungeons and Dragons!!

Program is for ages 12-18. Space is limited to 8, so registration is required!! Check at the Teen desk for Location!!

Teen Movie Night: Suicide Squad

When: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Teen Center (ETC) A & B

On the third Wednesday of each month, we will show a movie for individuals aged 12-18. Folks of age 12 will need to be accompanied by someone 13-18. Delicious snacks will be served. This month, we're showing Suicide Squad, 123 min, PG-13.

Teen Writing Group

Can't wait to put your hands on a keyboard and write your story? Now the next step is sharing it with some other teens. Come join us for some exceptional writing, sharing, and discussions.

We will have Special Guest Abby Acone from local channel KRDO visit! Together we will make it rain and snow inside! Plus a super COOL craft and HOT chocolate!

S.A.L.T programs are Science, Art, Literature, and Technology based programs geared towards the 9 and up age group.

Tween Twist Thursday: Black-Out Poetry Card-Making

Tween Twist Thursday

Tween Twist Thursday is for children 9-12 years old. Tween’s can stop by the Children’s Department at East Library anytime between 6:30-8:00pm for a fun and fabulous activity!

Guided Meditation

When: Thursday, January 19, 2017 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Library21c -1175 Chapel Hills Drive at Western Window Bay

Destress and relax Thursday evenings with our Guided Meditation program. Pillows and chairs will be set up, bring a mat if you'd like. Session includes music and guided and silent meditation with our presenter Gina. Make this free session an essential part of your week, you won't regret it.

Homeschool Science @ East

Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Community Meeting Room

January 20: Have fun creating cool things that zoom, fly, and go!
We will make pop rockets, planes that zoom, whirligigs, stomp rockets, and speedy balloon dirigibles.
Our Homeschool Science @ East programs are scheduled from 1-3 p.m. on the third Friday of every month. During this time our volunteers will have a special program for everyone to participate in. This is a family program so parents are expected to accompany their students. Lab equipment is available for you to use in the ERC (Educational Resource Center) during its normal open hours. Homeschool Science @ East is open to all ages, and (generally) no registration is required.

Chess and Checkers

3FT: Third Friday Teens--Resolution Revolution!

TEEN BOOK CLUB at Cheyenne Mountain High School

All D-12 high school students are invited to attend this off-site book club! Read a variety of genres chosen by the group and take turns leading discussion. Meets the 2nd Monday of every month at the CMHS Library after school (3:20-4:20 pm).

Marvelous Monday: Video Gaming

Where: Penrose Library - 20 North Cascade at Penrose Teen Space

Stop by the teen area every Monday to see what movie/activity/craft we're doing. Snacks provided! Ages 12 to 18 only.
