Troubleshooting

For basic instructions on how to connect to the wireless at PPLD via a personal laptop, click on the link that best suits your machine:

If you need further assistance, try the following:

  1. Change the laptop IP address. You may need to configure your wireless card to connect to the proper SSID. The SSID for the PPLD network is PPLD-W.
  2. Open your web browser. Accept the security certificate that the Library's system sends. You will then be asked to log in with your library card number and PIN. Once you click on “logon”, the Library's home page will come up and you are ready to use our wireless system. If you do not have a library card or a PIN, please see a member of Library staff and they will assist you.

Note: Some Mac users may need to use Netscape for the login and then may move to Explorer or Safari if desired.
