COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Families, caretakers and children can enjoy Storytime with their favorite librarians from Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) in several safe and engaging ways during the pandemic.
It is a no-cost program where children’s librarians read books and sing songs with young participants to promote literacy, nurture listening and other skills, inspire imaginations and encourage a love of reading. Prior to the pandemic, PPLD offered the classic children’s program inside more than a dozen local libraries at least weekly. Now people can participate from their car, virtually from home, outside of a local library, or inside another partner location like a community center or church.
DRIVE-IN STORYTIME
From the safety of their vehicle, participants tune their FM radio to the channel and listen to the storytellers on stage outside of the location. Only one registration is required per vehicle.

• Wed., May 19 at Manitou Springs Library (co-located at the Manitou Art Center), 10:30 a.m.

INDOOR STORYTIME

Registration is required for all on-site Storytime programs, along with adherence to any COVID-19 safety precautions at the time such as staying six feet apart from others and using face masks during indoor activities.
