English as a Second Language (ESL)

For adults wanting to improve their workplace and every day English language skills. Classes provide instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Registration is required. HSE (GED / HiSET / TASC) Intake

A group of people will take the High Scholl Equivalency (HSE) pre-tests to enroll in classes. For this Intake they have to pre-register with Deya Rohe ext. 2225

Laptop Lab

Where: Old Colorado City Library - 2418 West Pikes Peak at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

Library laptops are available for use in our downstairs meeting room. Library staff will be on hand either to assist with personal projects (class work, to job skills to Microsoft Office products, Facebook, Craigslist and more) or we can provide practice materials on computer basics. No registration required, but limited to first 10 attendees. Call the library for more information.

Senior Chats

These informal gatherings for seniors offer information sharing, networking, discussions and coffee. All are welcome.

MAKE @ East Open Hours

When: Tuesday, March 28, 2017 - 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at EA Makerspace

During Open Hours MAKE @ East is available for patrons to work on their own projects while a trained PPLD staff member is present. Equipment and supplies are available on a first come basis.

All patrons in the space must be at least 9 years old. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. Parent/guardian supervision is welcome for all minors over age 12.

Acrylic Painting for Beginners with Robert Schmitz

Learn how to paint with acrylics to create your own artwork with artist Robert Schmitz. This five class series is free and is intended for older adults who have not yet taken an acrylic painting class with Robert Schmitz at PPLD. This series runs from 2/28 through 4/4 with no class held on 3/14. Participants should be prepared to attend all five classes. All supplies will be furnished. Registration is required. Yoga @ The LibraryCANCELLED

Join us for a free yoga class. Certified instructors will take you through a non-heated Vinyasa yoga flow class emphasizing basic poses, correct alignment, and breathing techniques. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat/towel, blocks, and straps. No registration required.

Excel III-2013 Edition

The goal of this class is to learn and better understand different types of references, more complex formulas, and creating macros in Excel 2013.

Prerequisites: Excel I, Excel II, and a strong understanding of computer use. Call 884-9800 to register, or register online.
