Library cardholders can enjoy discounted admission to several local attractions this summer with Culture Pass Discount Days

(Colorado Springs) June 7, 2023 – Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) has teamed up with its Culture Pass partners to offer library cardholders discounted admission at several local attractions this summer during Culture Pass Discount Days.  

Each week between June 14 and Aug. 4 a different attraction will offer discounted admission to their venue for cardholders who show their library card or offer their card number at entry. PPLD’s Mobile Library will be onsite in the morning at each featured attraction so that community members can sign up for a library card. The Mobile Library will also offer crafts, activities, and Storytimes during their stay.

For children and teens participating in Summer Adventure presented by Children’s Hospital Colorado, the Library’s summer reading program, attending a Culture Pass Discount Days event counts toward the 30 days of activities needed to receive a prize. Pikes Peak Culture Pass gives library cardholders the chance to explore museums and attractions in the Pikes Peak region at no cost using their library card. By collaborating with local organizations, PPLD provides admission passes for check out at no cost, much like checking out an eBook or other electronic resource. The Pikes Peak Culture Pass program increases opportunities for education and cultural learning, creating connections between books and hands-on experiences.
