Fleur Bradley grew up in the Netherlands, where she spent my childhood riding her bike, catching tadpoles, and reading Pippi Longstocking and Roald Dahl books. She loved to read, and she loved to draw, too. Her very favorite book was The BFG by Roald Dahl. She would read under the covers well past her bedtime, secretly hoping for the BFG to knock on her window.
But somewhere along the way (around her high school years), she sort of lost the passion for reading. It wasn’t until she was given a paperback thriller many years later that she caught the reading bug again. After reading many, many mysteries and thrillers, she decided to try her hand at writing (she confesses that she was pretty bad at it at first, to be honest). It took a long time before some of her short mysteries started appearing in small press magazines, which encouraged her to keep writing.
