Through a variety of program and class options, both virtual and in person, PPLD provides seniors in the Pikes Peak Region with the opportunity to engage with others in their community, learn a new skill or hobby, find reading recommendations, and connect with one of the librarians specializing in areas such as Regional History and Genealogy.

Whether you're looking to explore new hobbies, attend workshops, join book clubs, or connect with others through social events, PPLD has something for every interest. Stay active, informed, and engaged with our wide range of senior-focused programs!
Reading programs aren’t just for kids! This program provides reading and learning activities specifically for ages 18+. Plus, win prizes at various milestones throughout the program.
This community-wide book club is aimed at improving literacy and fostering dialogue across social, cultural, and generational lines. Each year we pick book titles focused on timely topics that coincide with planned community-wide programming.
This event is an opportunity for the public and local authors to network, listen to notable authors, and learn more about the craft of writing and trends in publishing.
All Pikes Peak Writes is PPLD’s annual fiction writing contest for ages 12+, and seeks to highlight writers in our community through one contest.

Genealogy Resources
The Genealogy collection contains extensive family history research materials, covering the entire United States from Colonial times to the present, including books, periodicals, and access to major genealogical databases.
Computer Classes
Adults attend classes at the library to learn computer basics, internet basics, email and Word. Classes are at various libraries and various times.
Creative Arts
We offer craft arts and fiber arts classes and meetup events where you can share your artistic skills and learn new ones.
Audiobooks
With thousands of titles available across various genres, you can easily access audiobooks through our digital platforms like Libby and Hoopla. Whether you prefer fiction, non-fiction, or educational content, our audiobook collection provides a convenient and engaging way to explore new reads anytime, anywhere! We also have physical audiobooks available at multiple library locations.
Book Groups
You can join one of our PPLD book groups or we also have kits available to create your own book group.
Silver Key Grab 'n Go Meals
Silver Key Service Extension provides delicious and nutritious meals to eligible diners, promoting good health.

Eligibility: Anyone 60 years of age or older. The spouse of an eligible diner is also eligible. Reservations are required before 2 p.m. at least one day prior.
