Makerspace Equipment
With a library card, you can access specialized equipment such as 3d printers, laser engraving & cutting machines, CNC machines, die cutters, sewing machines, and more. Please note, this equipment is only available to be used within the Library. It cannot be checked out.
Tripods
Tripods are available for checkout. Explore our studio pages or checkout page to browse the equipment.
Hotspots
PPLD has FREE hotspots available for check out. Hotspots provide wireless service to patrons that normally do not have it. With a hotspot, you can connect to the Internet anywhere that Sprint has coverage.
Chromebooks to go
Use a Chromebooks To Go device to check your email, access online Library resources that help with homework, browse websites, conduct research, stream music or movies, and more!
Kill A Watt Meter

Video Games
Browse our various video game collection within the online catalog. Don't have a gaming console or PC? You can also stop by one of our game centers within the library to play your favorite games.
Board Games
We have a lot of games, popular and obscure. There is a two game limit per library card and they check out for one week. You can check out board games at the following locations: Calhan Library, Cheyenne Mountain Library, High Prairie Library, Library 21c Teen Desk, Old Colorado City Library, and Penrose Library Main Floor Service Desk.
Book Club Collection
The Book Club Collection provides multiple copies of a title to book clubs, other libraries, and organizations. Regular print and large print sets are available.

Toy Library
The Toy Library offers large motor skill toys available for families with children ages 0 - 5 to check out with their library card.
Discovery Kits
Discovery Kits are a collection of interactive items that patrons can check out to explore new topics, hobbies, and interests at home. There are Discovery Kits for all ages, from toddlers to adults.
Children's Launchpad

Pikes Peak Culture Pass lets you explore museums and attractions in the Pikes Peak region at no cost – all you need is a library card! PPLD provides free admission passes for check out, similar to how you check out an eBook or other electronic resource.
