Children's Programs
- Animals of the Wizarding World
Some of the fantastical beasts from popular books and movies are real life creatures! During this interesting program, we will introduce you to some of the animals featured in the stories. Learn about their role in the story, but also their habitat, diet, and natural history. For ages 3+.
- Cool Science
Cool Science will demonstrate some really, really COLD science with liquid nitrogen, then you get to make your own ice cream! Registration required. For ages 4 – 12.
- Rhythm Fun—For Everyone! By Helen, The Percussion Lady
Come play a drum, sing a song, listen to a story, and move to the beat you create. All drums and percussion (beat keeping) are provided, but feel free to bring your own. A loud and fun time for all. BOOM! For ages 3 – 12.
- Zoomobile!
Come meet ambassadors from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Animals from around the world will teach you the important role they play on our planet. Get up-close and become a champion for wildlife and wild places.
Teen Programs
- DJ Gravity
Pull back the curtain on the mystery of being a DJ! DJ Gravity reveals what it takes to be a master DJ, and how you too can become one. Join our workshop to learn what is truly necessary to succeed. No equipment necessary. For ages 12 - 18.
- Escape Rooms
Go back to the past to pass the class! Help poor student Poole pass his class by finding notes from a famous geologist that have been locked in a box. Can you solve the puzzles to unlock the box in time?
- Candyland
Play Candyland like you've never played it - in full size! Will you be the one to find King Kandy?
- Learn to Knit: Round Loom
Learn to use a loom to knit a hat in this three-part series that will keep you warm all winter long!
- Slam Dunk Catapult
You will be given directions on how to build a catapult, but it will not be very successful. The challenge is to make changes to the original design using the various materials provided to build a successful catapult that can shoot an item into a “basketball hoop” to celebrate the NCAA basketball tournament. For ages 12 - 18.
