Career Online High School (COHS) is an online high school diploma and career certification program funded by Pikes Peak Library District. Residents living within the Library District’s service area who have completed eighth grade and are 17-years-old or older are eligible to apply.

You can start the application process today. Since COHS is an online program, the enrollment period is not limited. You can start the self-assessment and prerequisite course when you are ready. Good luck!

Does it cost to do courses and get a diploma? is there an age limit or can anyone over 18 do this as well.

In order to enroll, students must have a library card, successfully pass an online self-assessment, and a prerequisite course. Following the successful completion of the course, they will be contacted by the library to schedule a placement test and an in-person interview. If accepted into the program, a scholarship is awarded. There are no costs for the student.

I applied for my high school online diploma and received an email from you in regards to starting my 2 week course. When I followed the link to enroll a prompt came up stating I was not registered yet. Please assist.

Hi Melinda, as per our conversation today you are enrolled in the pre-requisite program so start working on it. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us. Remember you have two weeks from the time you add the course to your account to complete the prerequisite course with a 70% or higher completion rate.

Hi Amber, first go ahead and sign in for the online self-assessment and prerequisite course, and once completed we will communicate with you to come to take the test and have the interview. Without these steps you are NOT enrolled into the program or received the scholarship. If you have more questions, please call (719)531-6333 ext. 6224 or 6095.

Students will be given up to 18 months to complete the program, which will consist of 18 credits.

Didn't Finish.
I signed up for the COHS, did the self assessment but did not finished the first prerequisite cores on time. What do I do now?

DIDN'T FINISH
If you are still interested, you can definitely start all over again but with a different career path. There is no rush though, do it whenever you feel you will be able to complete the prerequisite within the two weeks required.
