Biography

Dr. Theresa Y. Newsom holds a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and Ph.D. in Special Education with a dual emphasis on children of color and the development of leadership skills in identified gifted and high ability students. Theresa is a national presenter for the National Association of Gifted Children (NAGC) Founder/President of the Black Educators' Network 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization and is CEO of Children with Promise Educational Services. Dr. Newsom also serves as the Inclusion Advisor for the Colorado Academy for Educators of the Gifted, Talented and Creative. She enjoys reading, creating projects, time with her four grandchildren and traveling anywhere with her husband, Tommy.
