Baby Time (0-12m)

Babies from birth to 12 months, with a favorite adult, enjoy songs, bouncing action rhymes, and sharing a book together. Each interactive session gives babies the opportunity to hear lots of language and play with other babies. Space is limited.

Toddler Time (1-2 year olds)

One- and two-year-old children, with a favorite adult, participate in nursery rhymes, music, and movement, and listen to a few short books. Toddler Time builds on familiar experiences to introduce new vocabulary and word sounds in a lively atmosphere. This program lasts approximately 20 - 25 minutes.

 

Stay & Play (1-3 year olds)

Join us for an open-ended playtime! We'll have fun toys to enhance your child's early literacy learning. Meet new friends and have fun playing together. For ages 1 – 3 with a favorite adult. No registration required.  

 

Music & Movement (2-3 year olds)

Shake those wiggles out and have some fun! This 30-minute program consists of music and movement activities and a story. For ages 2 - 3 accompanied by a favorite adult.  

Create & Play (1-5 year olds)

Did you know studies show that making art builds motor skills, reading readiness, and math concepts? Bring your little one to a special event made just for them where they will experience creative and playful adventures with art! Be sure to wear old clothes that you don't mind getting messy. For children ages 1 - 5 with a favorite adult.  

 

Storytime (3-7 year olds)

Stories and more for children ages 3 - 7, with a favorite adult.  

 

Bilingual Storytime/Hora de cuentos bilingües

Join us on the first Wednesday of every month for a bilingual storytime in English and Spanish. For children ages 3+ with a favorite adult.
El primer miércoles de cada mes tendremos una hora del cuento bilingüe en español y en inglés. Para niños edades 3+ con su adulto favorito.

Sensory Storytime

Join us for a fun and interactive storytime that is specially created for children on the autism spectrum or with sensory integration challenges. Registration is required.

 

ASL Storytime & Playgroup

Join Pikes Peak Library District and the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) for a bilingual storytime and playgroup! Books will be read in American Sign Language and English. An interpreter will be available for English and ASL translation.

A CO-Hear representative from CSDB will be available during the playgroup to speak with families about speech, hearing, language, child development, and various other developmental topics. 

For children ages 0 - 3 with a favorite adult. Siblings welcome. One registration per family.

 

Once Upon a Sign: ASL Storytime 

Join us for a fun storytime featuring early literacy activities and stories signed in American Sign Language (ASL) by a Deaf role model and spoken aloud in English!
