PPLD Cares headline with hearts. The words are sitting on a pantry shelf with canned food around it

PPLD Cares Food Drive 2025

Food is one of our most basic necessities. The Colorado Health Institute says around 12 percent of El Paso County families go hungry or face food insecurity.

To help meet the needs of local families and to support local food banks, Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is teaming up with Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado to aid in supplementing pantries during the end of the year. The PPLD Cares food drive starts Mon., Nov. 3 at all Library locations and will go through Dec. 15.

If you can give, please bring non-perishable items to your go-to PPLD location and place them in the food drive bin. Each donation helps feed neighbors in need.

Most needed items

Canned fruit

Canned vegetables

Soup

Canned meat or tuna

Peanut butter

Cereal

Oatmeal

Pre-packaged snacks

Boxed dinners

Donations will be accepted through Mon., Dec. 15.

Thank you for your food donations to support our friends, neighbors, and community throughout the Pikes Peak region.
