Pikes Peak Library District partners with educators to strengthen teaching and learning through trusted resources, responsive services, and meaningful classroom support. From early childhood through college, the Library provides tools, programs, and expertise that align with curriculum needs and student learning goals. Educators and instructional partners can rely on the Library as a flexible, knowledgeable partner that supports classrooms, professional practice, and student success.

Educator Support Form

We are here to assist educators, including preschool and homeschool educators! Whether you have a question or need specific resources, our team is ready to support your classroom needs. Please fill out the Educator Support form, and Library staff will get back to you as soon as possible.

The Educator Card is a supplementary library card to support teachers, educators, and homeschooling families for their educational needs.

Classroom Visits and Tours

Classroom visits and tours connect students with Library resources through guided experiences led by Library staff. Visits can include PPLD Library location tours, short instructional lessons, research support, and introductions to services that support classroom learning. All the experiences we offer align with Colorado state standards.

Classroom Sets

Classroom sets are multiple copies of the same book for teachers to use in their classrooms. Over 50 different Children’s and Young Adult titles are available. School instructors can reserve any available titles, and up to 27 copies can be included in the set.

The PowerPass is a just-for-students library card from PPLD, granting access to the Library’s digital resources like databases, eBooks, and song and movie downloads. PowerPass can enhance your student's learning both in and out of the classroom, as well as their at-home entertainment.

Library Cards for Students

Students can get a FREE library card from any Pikes Peak Library District location and use it at all PPLD locations throughout El Paso County.

The Teen Art Contest is an annual event that happens between December and March.
