Hi Michael,
Can you email us at eref@ppld.org and let us know where you are encountering this and provide some of the titles? None of the eBook platforms on this page should direct you to pay for an eBook. I think we can help with a little more information.
Best regards,

Could you give me the instructions for how to download to a nook or point me to instructions on your website?
Thank you!

Why are Overdrive loads loans limited to 2 weeks? This contradicts your stated loan period (3weeks) and makes it very difficult to finish a moderate length book without binge reading every day. As a result on multiple occasions I’ve had to stop in the middle of a book and wait sometimes weeks to be able to check it out again if it’s a popular title. 3 weeks was reasonable and I don’t known why it changed

Hi Sean. Since more patrons are using PPLD digital resources online due to our COVID-19 closure, cardholders now can have 10 checkouts for a total of 14 days each; the holds limit remains at a total of 30. We apologize for the inconvenience.

THanks for responding regarding the small limit by some suppliers of ebooks allowed per library customer. I cannot open E Pub
books on my Kindle, therefore, I am limited to Kindle only books.

Can no longer access the Value Line reports. It looks as though the link to valueline.com has an error. Here is what it responds:
"Did you mean valueline.com?
The site you just tried to visit looks fake. Attackers sometimes mimic sites by making small, hard-to-see changes to the URL."

I would like
to check out a fresh book club bag for my group, How do I do that with the library closed? I use 21C or The downtown Penrose Library
