Do I need a library card to check out items from Mobile Libraries?

You will need a PPLD library card to check out items from Mobile Libraries. You can apply for a free library card on any Mobile Library that can be used on the Mobile Library or at any Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) facility.

How long do materials check out from Mobiles Libraries?

Most Mobile Library Services materials can be checked out for six weeks and renewed for an additional six weeks. However, DVDs can be checked out for two weeks and renewed for two weeks.

Do I have to return materials checked out from Mobile Libraries to the same vehicle?

Materials charged out from Mobile Libraries can be returned to the Mobile Library or any PPLD facility. Fines are charged for late, lost and damaged materials.

My items are due, but the Mobile Library missed my stop. Will I be charged fines?

Fines are not charged if the Mobile Library fails to meet your stop. Keep the items due and return them the next time the Mobile Library comes to your stop.

The Catalog says a title I want is located at Mobile Libraries. Can I come to any stop to pick it up?

Not all titles showing Mobile Libraries as their location are on the vehicles. Please call Mobile Library staff at (719) 531-6333, x7702 to have a title placed on the vehicle visiting your stop.
