Welcome to Sand Creek's Makerspace and Recording Studio

Located at Sand Creek Library, 1821 S. Academy Blvd., Sand Creek’s Makerspace and Recording Studio provide patrons access to a wide variety of resources and equipment while promoting creativity, inventiveness, education, and collaboration. Sand Creek’s Makerspace and Recording Studio is available for public use during Open Hours and is generally free, with the exception of some materials.

About the Space

  • The makerspace and recording studio are intended for a broad variety of projects, including some that require hand tools, emit fumes, or use advanced machinery.
  • The makerspace and recording studio are open to the public during scheduled Open Hours.
  • Patrons must have a signed User Agreement Liability Waiver on file, have a PPLD Library card, and be at least 9 years of age to use the space.
  • For their safety, minors age 9-11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • Children younger than 9 may be in the makerspace if they have registered to participant in librarian-led programming.
  • If a child under 9 is participating in librarian-led programming, he or she must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • Patrons must check in with the makerspace and recording studio staff before using equipment or materials.

Open Hours

  • Monday: 1 - 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 4 - 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Thursday: 12 - 4 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1 - 4 p.m. (1st Sunday of the month beginning in November 2017)
