Teens and Tweens CREATE!

When: Tuesday, February 20, 2018 - 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: Ute Pass Library at Ute Pass Community Events

Come to the Ute Pass Community Room to participate in creating something, whether it is made of legos, a puzzle, a craft, or something edible! The activity switches every month, so if you have a request, speak with Alison asap!

Teen Game day

When: Tuesday, February 20, 2018 - 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: Fountain Library at Fountain Meeting Room

Gaming day.....Teens come and hang out, play a few games. Use the laptops. The Xbox 360 and WiiU will be available.

Teen Tuesdays Rock MAKE Chocolate Art

Where: Rockrimmon Library at Rockrimmon Meeting Room

Programs for Teens (12-18 years old) at Teens Tuesdays Rock at Rockrimmon Library. Join us to explore the art of chocolate making

Teen Tuesdays!

When: Tuesday, February 20, 2018 - 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Where: Old Colorado City Library at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

Crafts, games, Legos, and much more! Each Tuesday will feature something different for teens to enjoy.

This Week: Ice breaker madness! Come and learn a few new games like Electricity and Snap, Crackle, Pop! Ice breakers not your thing? We'll also have lots of coloring, board games, and card games available.

Bloxels & Little Bits

Where: High Prairie Library at High Prairie Meeting Room

With Bloxels, you can realize your own video game ideas using a simple game board, blocks, and a smart device. Little Bits are electronic building blocks used to make circuits, toys, and other imaginative things. Best for ages 9 & Up.

Scribes & Bards

A published fantasy writer will lead teens through writing exercises

Teen Dungeons and Dragons Club

When: Tuesday, February 20, 2018 - 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: East Library at East Teen Center (ETC) A & B

Join teens who are passionate about Dungeons and Dragons!

Program is for ages 12-18. Space is limited to 20 participants. Registration is strongly encouraged.

Knitting

When: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Where: Monument Library at Monument Meeting Room

An intergenerational knitting group that meets the first, second and third Wednesday of each month. Practice materials are provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own materials! Some instruction provided for those new to the world of knitting.

AfterMath!

When: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: Library21c at Ent Conference Center

Is math homework getting you down? Are finals freaking you out? Do you need to brush up before the ACT, SAT, or GED? Our experienced math tutors can help you improve your grades and take the stress out of math.

No appointments - Drop in! This runs from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
We will not have AfterMath in the case of holidays or school weather closures.

Teens on Laptops

When: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: Old Colorado City Library at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

Laptops are set aside for teen use only in the Community Room. Come on down and do homework, play games and music, or just surf! Occasionally we will have the Wii, crafts, or other special activities. Brought to you by OC3, our teen advisory council.

Lego Club

When: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: Ruth Holley Library at Ruth Holley Meeting Room

Come build your own creations using LEGOs provided by the library. Ages 9 and up.

Teen Dungeons and Dragons Club

When: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: Library21c Study Rooms at A1

Join other teens who are passionate about Dungeons and Dragons!!

Program is for ages 12-18. Space is limited to 8, so registration is required!! Check at the Teen desk for Location!!

Drop-in Watercolor Painting

When: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: East Library

Amateur artists are invited to MAKE @ East to experiment with watercolors (watercolor paints, watercolor crayons, and watercolor pencils!) at this fun and informal drop-in program. We’ll supply the brushes, paint, and paper; just bring yourself and a friend!

Ages 9 and up. Ages 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult.

FOOD + FILM: Despicable Me 3 + Minion Food

When: Thursday, February 22, 2018 - 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: Cheyenne Mountain Library at Cheyenne Meeting Room

Teens & Tweens come watch Despicable Me 3 and eat/make some Minion themed food to go with it! Ages 9-18 welcome. No registration required!

Teens & Tweens Advisory Board

When: Thursday, February 22, 2018 - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: Manitou Springs Library at Lower Level

Earn volunteer hours by creating and helping with library programs. Snacks included!

The Manitou Advisory Board has helped in designing the following programs: Video Game Night, Quidditch on the Lawn, Star Wars Movie Marathons, and more!

AfterMath - Free Math Tutoring - All Ages, All Levels

Pop-in After School Hangout

Where: Old Colorado City Library at Old Colorado City Meeting Room

A space to come after school where you can hangout, play, create, or even study! Light after school snacks provided. Occurs every Thursday! Ages 8-12.

Teens & Tweens MAKE@EA: Laser Cut Clocks

When: Thursday, February 22, 2018 - 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: East Library at Make @ East

This is a two part class occurring on 2/22 and 3/22 of 2018. Participants need to be able to attend both classes.

In February, we'll use the laser cutter to cut out our clocks and then we'll paint and decorate them as we please. Participants will actually attend either at 4:00pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm or 5:30pm. We will send out an e-mail closer to the program date to determine which time works best for your family. Ages 9-18 only.

Then, in March, we'll add the electronic pieces so that we have functioning clocks. This will probably take ~45 minutes instead of the usual 90, so please plan accordingly.

Monument Library Anime Club

Where: Monument Library at Monument Meeting Room

What: An anime club!
Why: Share anime with other people who love it, too! Eat snacks. Help shape the anime club for future months/generations.

Program recommended for ages 13/14+.

Friday Fun! Crafts

Friday Fun: Crafts! is a program for kids grades k-8 which meets right after school. Snacks will be provided. We hope to see you there!

East Coding Club: Google CS First Social Media

When: Friday, February 23, 2018 - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: East Library at East Learning Lab

We'll be using Google's evaluated CS-First curriculum to teach the principles behind coding social media applications in Scratch. This curriculum is aimed at students ages 9-15, but ages 9-18 are welcome to participate. 16-18 year olds may find the curriculum to be too easy, but if they are completely new to coding, it is a great place to start. If you have never tried coding before, please attend coding club in January, or come to one of our Tech Thursday coding classes prior to starting the club in February.

Show off your creativity with this family event. Please do not bring your own LEGOs and all masterpieces remain at the library. (However, donations are gladly accepted!) Join us on the fourth Friday of the month.

AfterMath in the Teen Zone
