Holiday Vegan Market will put festive plant-based and cruelty-free options on display
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Purveyors of vegan goods in the Pikes Peak region, rejoice: there is a Black Friday equivalent coming up just for you.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, 50 local vegan vendors will converge at Library 21c for the annual Holiday Vegan Market. It is an opportunity for people in the Colorado Springs area to peruse the many possibilities for celebrating the holidays in a sustainable, plant-based way.
“As an organization, we love to create spaces for unique resources like these to come together,” says Hillary Dodge, Director of the North Region for Pikes Peak Library District. “Our goal is to help people see the vast array of vegan holiday options they have this year.”
The vendors will feature goods like groceries, candies, baked goods, skin care, clothing, jewelry, home goods, cleaning supplies, and more. Attendees can also see vegan cooking demonstrations and enjoy snacks from both indoor food vendors and vegan food trucks.
Pikes Peak Library District is partnering with Colorado Springs Vegan Events to put on the holiday market.
“This is my favorite event of the year,” says JL Fields, local vegan cookbook author and culinary instructor and volunteer director of Colorado Springs Vegan. “We started this event six years ago to bring plant-based food and wares to the vegan community and to elevate the work of local creators. From 8 vendors and 65 attendees to now over 50 vendors and 1,000+, we’ve created community and support and we’re thrilled to be doing this with Pikes Peak Library District this year.”
