John Wesley Anderson, MBA, is a published author, storyteller, and TEDx speaker. He enjoyed a 30-year law enforcement career, retiring at the rank of sergeant after 22 years with the Colorado Springs Police Department, followed by 8 years serving as the elected sheriff for El Paso County, Colorado. After being term-limited as Sheriff, John retired from public safety and was employed in homeland and corporate security for ten years in the private sector. He retired from the Lockheed Martin Corporation in 2012 to launch a consulting business allowing him the freedom to pursue his love of history, writing and the arts. In 2022 John was honored to receive the Golden Quill Award from the Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District. Although John has traveled around the world, including several adventures on a catamaran sailing the Caribbean, three corporate security assignments into a combat zone on the Horn of Africa and landing on an aircraft carrier at sea in the Pacific Ocean, he remains most fascinated by the rich history and art discovered in his own backyard in the American Southwest.

Kevin Ikenberry still wants to be an astronaut. As an adult, he’s managed the U.S. Space Camp program and operated two Challenger Learning Centers, and is a retired Army space operations officer. His science fiction Sleeper Protocol, which Publisher’s Weekly called “an emotionally powerful debut,” was released in January 2016 and is the first of a series. Kevin writes mainly science fiction with a strong military bent, but he also writes horror and romance. He makes his home in Colorado with his family.

I have lived in Colorado for over a decade and have experienced all the wonderful state has to offer. I currently live in Parker with my wife and animals and love reading sci-fi/fantasy novels as well as writing them.

Stith was born in Boulder and has lived in the Pikes Peak region for 40+ years. He's been a writer since 1980.

His works include REDSHIFT RENDEZVOUS (Nebula Award nominee), MANHATTAN TRANSFER (Nebula Award nominee), REUNION ON NEVEREND, and RECKONING INFINITY (on Science Fiction Chronicle's Best Science Fiction Novels list for its publication year, on the Nebula Award preliminary ballot).

Ashley Hodges Bazer is the author of the epic sci-fi series, The Crown's Call, which explores the onset and aftermath of a religious holocaust in a space opera setting. She also dabbles in young adult fantasy, bringing chess pieces to life in Checkmate and mixing up fairy tales with fun twists in Once Upon a Heist. She lives in Colorado with her husband and three children. After earning her bachelor’s degree in theatrical stage management from Arizona State University, she went on to work for Disneyland in that capacity. Currently a content producer for an international daily radio program, she’s become a pro at balancing work, writing, and mom duties. And she's a real duchess!
